Help Survivors of Child Sex Trafficking

Help stop child sex trafficking

1,000 Hope Bags for survivors

The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children partners with the FBI and U.S. Department of Justice to recover victims of child sex trafficking through the Innocence Lost Initiative.

But, when those victims of trafficking are recovered from the control of their pimp, they often leave with only the clothes on their back.

We wanted to do more to help these children who have survived a nightmare, so we developed Hope Bags. Hope Bags provide survivors with basic items they need for those first few hours and days after they are recovered.

We stuff the bags with clothes, shoes, and toiletries. The Hope Bags are distributed by FBI agents and victim specialists in communities across the country.

Child sex trafficking is a missing child issue

We know missing children, especially those who have run away, are targeted by traffickers.

One in five endangered runaways reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children in 2015 were likely sex trafficking victims.

These children are the most vulnerable. They are more likely to be manipulated by the false promises that traffickers use to secure their trust and dependency.
